Cant connect to Keychron K8? is it asking for a pin?
Run ``` rfcomm connect hci0 DC:2C:26:E3:E2:60 #with the settings open ``` A PIN number should pop up
Type that pin on the keyboard and press enter (keychron)
Then it will say it ``` rfcomm connect hci0 DC:2C:26:E3:E2:60 ```
Then, connect to the keychron k8 in the settings and BAM! works…
Function Keys
``` /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/fnmode ``` set the contents to ``` 2 ```
for more information go to https://www.facebook.com/groups/Keychronlinux and search for “fnmode”
or
You can set this persistently by creating a module options file like /etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf:
options hid_apple fnmode=0 Reference: https://wiki.debian.org/InstallingDebianOn/Apple/PageFragmentKeyboard
``` I wanted media keys by default (I use them more), but wanted FN keys to still work (by pressing FN first).
This is what I did:
Hold FN + X + L for 4 seconds to change function mode (it flips between the two?).
echo 0 | sudo tee /sys/module/hid_apple/parameters/fnmode
echo “options hid_apple fnmode=0” | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/hid_apple.conf
(Ubuntu) sudo update-initramfs -u
